Sunflower Goniopora

This Goniopora displays a dense cluster of flower-like polyps in light blue, each formed by a rounded central disc and a ring of short, bulb-tipped tentacles. Vivid yellow eyes sit at the centre of many polyps, producing strong contrast against the cool blue coloration.

The specimen shows varied polyp extension, with several heads fully open and others sitting closer to the colony. Pale cyan tips create a dotted outline around the warmer yellow centres, while muted mauve tissue is visible between the polyps. The close grouping gives the coral a layered, sunflower-like appearance.
