Yellow Sun Coral Colony

Yellow Sun Coral is a non-photosynthetic coral with a tightly grouped, branching colony structure and strong yellow-to-cream contrast. Its elongated tubular corallites carry bright yellow rims and mouths, while the extended polyps form compact crowns of short feeding tentacles.

As an NPS coral, it does not rely on photosynthesis and requires deliberate, regular feeding as part of its husbandry. The colony offers plenty of texture whether the polyps are open or retracted, with the raised corallites creating a distinctive clustered profile. This is the individual colony offered for sale, making it easy to assess its shape, polyp count and colour before purchase.
