Purple Eye Favia Frag

Purple Eye Favia is a richly coloured LPS coral, combining fleshy purple corallites with intense fluorescent green highlights across the raised walls and ridges. The closely packed polyps create a rugged, maze-like structure, while the contrasting mouths add further variation through the centre of the frag.

Under blue-spectrum reef lighting, the green pigmentation fluoresces strongly against the deeper violet and burgundy tones. Each corallite has its own pattern of colour, giving the frag plenty of fine detail at close range while retaining bold contrast from across the aquarium.

Supplied as a frag, this is a compact way to introduce the dense structure and distinctive colour separation associated with Favia into an established reef display.
