This Copper Torch coral displays warm copper and bronze-toned tentacles paired with crisp white tips and a glowing neon green centre. The combination creates a unique colour contrast that stands out strongly under blue reef lighting.
The long flowing tentacles move naturally with the current, giving the coral a soft swaying motion that adds life and movement to the aquarium. The bright green centre provides a strong fluorescent glow, while the copper tentacles give this coral its distinctive name.
Torch corals are prized among reef keepers for their dramatic appearance and ability to become centrepiece corals within a reef display. With stable water parameters and proper placement, torches can slowly develop additional heads and grow into impressive multi-head colonies.
For best results, place in moderate lighting with gentle to moderate indirect flow. The flow should allow the tentacles to sway freely without being pushed aggressively.
As with other Euphyllia species, adequate space should be provided as torch corals can extend sweeper tentacles and sting neighbouring corals.
