Each polyp forms the classic hammer-shaped tentacles that gently sway with the current, creating constant movement and a beautiful textured appearance in the aquarium. The yellow inner coloration contrasts strongly against the cooler outer tips, producing the unmistakable “Holy Grail” look prized by reef keepers.

As a branching variety, this coral grows by developing new heads along branching skeleton structures, allowing it to gradually form impressive colonies over time.

Branching hammers are generally considered easier to manage than wall varieties, as individual heads can be separated if required and the coral tends to grow in a more structured colony form.
