Purple St. Thomas Mushroom

The surface is heavily covered in tightly packed, star-shaped polyps displaying a mix of deep purple and pink tones. Each polyp has short, irregular arms with lighter pink tips, creating a layered and slightly ruffled texture across the entire mushroom. The underlying base is mostly obscured, though hints of softer purple can be seen between the polyps, especially toward the centre. The central mouth is visible and pale, with a soft pink tone that stands out against the darker surrounding colours. Toward the outer edge, the polyps remain dense and consistent, forming a thick, even perimeter. The overall appearance is defined by the rich purple base colour, contrasting lighter tips, and the uniform, textured coverage across the disk.
